Jürgen Brand (lawyer, 1941)

Jürgen Brand (* 1941 ) is a German lawyer and university professor .

Brand was founded in 1970 by Hans Hattenhauer at the Christian-Albrechts-University of Kiel with a thesis on the history of the founder of food and are in the time of the Grand Duchy of Berg doctorate . He completed his habilitation in 1989 with an investigation into the emergence of labor jurisdiction in Germany at the Bergische Universität Wuppertal , where he taught law until 2006 as an academic senior counselor and adjunct professor in the field of economics.

Brand's research interests are German and European legal history , administrative law , public law and European economic history .

Brand has been a founding member of the Bergische Juristengesellschaft since 2015.
