Jürgen Brill

Jürgen Brill (born March 5, 1966 in Marpingen ) is a Saarland comedian, singer, musician, composer and author. His main job is to teach clarinet and saxophone at the music school in the St. Wendel district. He also directs the youth big bands MiniBigBand and TeenieTus .

Brill is part of the comedy duo Langhals & Dickkopp and the band Brillant . As an actor he was seen in the film adaptation of "Wahlkampf" from the "Saarland Album" by the cartoonist Bernd Kissel on SR. as well as from 2019 as Schärlock Brill as part of a commissioner duo in "Wir im Saarland - Saar nur!".

Life

Jürgen Brill was born in 1966 to Elisabeth and Rudi Brill. He first attended the Marpingen elementary school and then the Arnold-Janssen-Gymnasium in St. Wendel . He graduated from the technical college for social affairs in St. Wendel in 1986. He then studied music education at the Saarland University of Music with a major in clarinet. Since 1989 he has been teaching at the music school in the St. Wendel district. In 1982 he founded the group Harakatz and Ali with friends . The group received the special prize of the St. Ingbert pan in 1986 . In 1990 he founded the samba group Samba Total . Since 1992 he has been on stage together with Uli Schu as Langhals & Dickkopp . In 1996 he founded the youth big band MiniBigBand and in 2009 also the group TeenieTus for older students. In 2013 he founded the German-language rock band Brillant with Stefan Scharle, Peter Morsch and Salvatore Tabone, of which his own children Clara, Jacob and Clemens Brill are now members. He lives in Marpingen with his wife and three children.
