Jürgen Happe

Jürgen Happe (* 1952 in Bremen ) is a German musician .

Career

From 1974 he studied classical guitar at the Conservatory of the Free Hanseatic City of Bremen with Christian Kaiser and in 1977 at the Conservatory of the City of Vienna (KONS) with Robert Brojer . In 1978 he moved to the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna , where he completed his artistic maturity examination with Karl Scheit in 1983 .

In addition to concert activities, CD and radio productions, Happe has been teaching guitar at the University of Hildesheim since 1983 and at the Hanover University of Music, Theater and Media since 1986 . In 2004 he released a new type of guitar version and CD recording of the six cello suites by Johann Sebastian Bach . From 2006 to 2013 he played in the trio FeelHarmonica, which he co-founded .

Due to a focal dystonia (musician's cramp) in his right hand that began in 2006 , he finally had to give up playing the guitar and has since concentrated on his teaching activities.
