Jürgen Hartmann (born February 22, 1943 ) is a former German soccer player. In 1964, he played for SC Chemie Halle in the GDR Oberliga , the top division in GDR football .

Athletic career

In the 1961/62 season, Jürgen Hartmann's career began in higher-class football with an assignment in the second-class GDR league for the relegated league progress Weissenfels . In 1962/63 he completed half of the 26 league games and was successful with six goals. From the 1963/64 season on, 30 games were played in the GDR league, of which Hartmann played all but one game this season and this time scored three goals.

For the 18th league matchday, SC Chemie Halle, at risk of relegation and handicapped by player failures, borrowed Jürgen Hartmann from Weißenfels for the away game against SC Empor Rostock . In the 1-0 defeat, Hartmann was used as a winger.

In the 1964/65 and 1965/66 seasons Hartmann was again a regular at progress Weissenfels and came to 51 missions in the 60 league games played. In both seasons he was the top scorer of his team with nine and 14 goals respectively. In 1966 progress Weißenfels had to relegate from the GDR league.

Hartmann then moved to the GDR league club Chemie Zeitz for the 1966/67 season . There he was also a regular player for three seasons. In the 90 league games played during this time, he was missing in only seven games and scored nine goals. In 1969 he was relegated with Chemie Zeitz and then had to spend two seasons in the district league . In 1971 Hartmann rose again with the team in the GDR league, where he was active until 1975. By then he had been called up 63 times in 86 league games, but only scored five and four goals in 1971/72 and 1972/73. 1972 Chemie Zeitz league relay winner and took part in the promotion games to the league. In the eight qualifying games, Hartmann was used in every encounter and also scored two goals, but the team missed promotion. In his last GDR league season 1974/75 he was only used six times and had no goal. When he retired from competitive sports in the summer of 1975, he was able to look back on a league assignment and 240 GDR league games, in which he had scored 50 goals.
