Jürgen Hartmann (lawyer)

Jürgen Hartmann (born July 13, 1938 in Bonn ) is a German administrative lawyer and politician ( CDU ) and former Secretary of State for Agriculture in Thuringia .

Life

After graduating from high school, Jürgen Hartmann studied law and political science in Bonn and Paris, among others. Since 1957 he has been a member of the Catholic student association KDStV Ascania Bonn ; later he joined the CV connection Rheno-Palatia Breslau to Mainz. He was at the University of Mainz 1966 Dr. iur. PhD. Professionally, he was head of protocol for the state government of Rhineland-Palatinate from 1969 and later headed the Paris office of the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung from 1980 . From 1985 he was deputy head of the central department in the Ministry of Agriculture, Viticulture and Forestry in Rhineland-Palatinate. After the reunification in the GDR in 1990 , he moved to the Thuringian Ministry of Agriculture and Forests as State Secretary, and later for Agriculture, Environment and Nature Conservation.

Hartmann is a member of the CDU and was its general secretary in Rhineland-Palatinate from 1995 to 1999.

He is President of the German-French Cultural Foundation based in Mainz. Since 1957 he has been a member of the Catholic student association KDStV Ascania Bonn ; later he joined the CV connection Rheno-Palatia Breslau to Mainz.
