Jürgen Hasebrink (born September 10, 1954 ) is a former German football player in the position of a striker . Among other things, he played a game in the Bundesliga for Rot-Weiss Essen .

Life

Hasebrink was in the Bundesliga squad of Rot-Weiss Essen in the 1973/74 and 1974/75 seasons . In 1973, Essen had only just been promoted from the regional league to the Bundesliga . In the first season, 1973/74, they took 13th place in the final table and were thus placed in the lower middle of the table. Jürgen Hasebrink was only used in one of 34 games, however, on matchday 32, May 4, 1974, he made his Bundesliga debut in the away game at VfB Stuttgart , which Essen won 3-0. Hasebrink came on as a substitute for Dieter Bast in the 63rd minute of the game and scored the goal to make it 3-0 in the 86th minute. In the following season, 1974/75, Rot-Weiss Essen was able to improve its table position with rank 12 in the final table compared to the previous season by one place. Hasebrink played no role here and was not used in any of the 34 games. However, he completed a game in the DFB Cup that season , in the second main round in Essen's 6-2 win against DJK Gütersloh . He came on as a substitute for Günter Fürhoff in the 75th minute of the game .
