Jürgen Hellwig

Jürgen Hellwig (* 1965 / 1966 ) is a former German American football poker players.

career

After starting out in American football with the Stormarn Vikings in 1990, Hellwig, who is 1.84 meters tall, played for the Hamburg Silver Eagles in the first and second Bundesliga from 1991 to 1994 . In 1995 he moved to the Hamburg Blue Devils , with whom the linebacker became German champions in 1996 and won the Eurobowl twice (1996 and 1997).

From 1997 he worked in various areas at the Blue Devils, including from 1997 to 2002 as a player judge and observer of the men's team in the GFL , and from 2001 he was also the coach of the Blue Devils youngsters and coach of the Hamburg youth team. In the 2002 season Hellwig was responsible for the linebacker position at the Hamburg Huskies as an assistant coach.

For the 2003 season, Hellwig, who worked full-time as a police officer, strengthened the coaching staff of the Blue Devils and also took care of the linebackers here. Hellwig, who was employed as an instructor at the Hamburg regional association, later became a member of the coaching staff of the Hamburg Pioneers regional league team , where he was responsible for coordinating defense work.
