Jürgen Hinrichs (born April 7, 1934 in Buchholz in the Nordheide ) is a German politician and former member of the state parliament ( FDP ).

Life

After attending elementary school and the Ludwig-Meyn-Gymnasium in Uetersen with the Abitur in 1955, he studied in Hamburg and Münster and, after passing the first and second state exams for teaching at secondary schools, worked in the school service, most recently as director of studies. From 1981 to 1995 he was the leading government school director and head of the state examination office for first state examinations for teaching positions at schools at the universities of Bielefeld , Paderborn and the music academy in Detmold .

Hinrichs joined the FDP in 1955, where he was district chairman for East Westphalia-Lippe from 1971 to 1990. From 1969 to 1975 he was a member of the district council in the Herford district , where he had been chairman of the FDP parliamentary group since 1973. From May 28, 1975 to May 28, 1980 he was a member of the state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia . He was elected from his party's national list. In 1989 he was elected to the Herford City Council for a five-year term of office and was also deputy mayor during this time.
