Jürgen Loacker (born December 14, 1974 in Altach ) is a former Austrian bobsleigh driver . He participated in the 2006 Winter Olympics in Turin and 2010 in Vancouver .

He grew up in Koblach and has lived and trained in Götzis / Dornbirn since 1983 . After completing school and training to be a stove fitter , he focused on athletics . He came from athletics through a sighting in 1999 to bobsleigh . After starting out as a brakeman on Manfred Maier's team, he became a bobsleigh pilot himself in 2001 .

In addition to several victories in the European Cup and top 10 results in World Cup races and European Championships, the 8th place at the 2008 World Championships in Altenberg was his best international result. Jürgen Loacker was able to win the national title several times in Austria . Loacker is a former sports soldier in the armed forces . In his last season 2012/2013 he was able to count on the support of six brakemen as team members and with Martin Lachkovics and Matthias Adolf he had experienced bobsleigh athletes behind him.
