Jürgen Panis (born April 21, 1975 in Wiener Neustadt ) is a former Austrian football player .
Career
Panis began his career with the younger generation of the Lower Austrian SC Hochwolkersdorf-Bromberg, where he was noticed by the talent seekers of VfB Admira Wacker Mödling and was committed to the performance center.
In 1993 Panis received his first professional contract and played from 1993 to 1997 with VfB Admira Wacker Mödling. In 1997 I went to Linz to LASK . After the relegation of the black and whites in 2000, the left midfielder moved to FC Tirol Innsbruck , where he was three times Austrian champion. After the bankruptcy of the Tyroleans, Panis was signed by FK Austria Wien in 2002 . At Austria, where Panis celebrated his fourth championship title and a cup win, he played until 2004.
After a very serious injury that almost cost him his football career, he played as a convalescent player at SC Untersiebenbrunn in the second-class first division . In the 2005/2006 season he played again in the first Austrian Bundesliga with VfB Admira Wacker Mödling. In summer 2006 he switched back to LASK. After playing for Upper Austria for four years, his contract was not renewed in the summer of 2010.
Panis played five times for the Austrian national team . He made his debut in the friendly international match between Austria and Slovakia on March 27, 2002 in Graz , which ended 2-0 for Austria.
