He played from 1999 until his dissolution in 2004 for a total of six seasons in the second-rate first division , from 2001 to 2004 under the name SC Interwetten.com . In September 2019, games in the lowest performance level, 2nd class Marchfeld, had to be stopped.

history

The SC Untersiebenbrunn was founded in 1932 with the colors red and white and was initially still subordinate to the VAFÖ . The club grew into the most successful club in Marchfeld in the 1970s, and in 1974 it was promoted to the regional league , in which it became Lower Austrian regional champion in 1979 and thus promoted to the third-class regional league East . But already in the first regional league season 1979/80 the league was dissolved again, so that the SC Untersiebenbrunn fell back into the state league. The regional league was reintroduced in 1985, and Untersiebenbrunn finally managed to return to this league in 1996 with the second Lower Austrian championship title.

If the club only barely held its class in 1996/97 , winning the regional league championship in front of SV Schwechat and the associated participation in the relegation to the second-class Second Division could already be celebrated in 1997/98 . A 2-1 first leg win against FC Kärnten was followed by a 2-0 defeat in the second leg. As early as 1998/99 , by winning the Regionalliga again with a 19-point lead over ASK Kottingbrunn, there was a new chance for promotion to the second level, now known as the "First Division". It was extremely close with a 1: 1 and 0: 0 thanks to the away goal rule against the relegated SV Spittal / Drau .

The SC Untersiebenbrunn, from 2001 to 2004 under the name SC Interwetten .com , became a constant in Austria's second division. Until the 2003/04 season , the club was never worse than fourth in the final table. In 2002 they were also in the quarter-finals of the ÖFB Cup , and on the way threw Austria from Vienna, among others , before they were eliminated on penalties against the GAK . Later national players like Bozo Kovacevic and Paul Scharner played alongside veterans like Peter Stöger , Franz Wohlfahrt and Roman Mählich in Untersiebenbrunn.

After the 2004/05 season , which was also in 8th place in terms of sport , the economic end came: The Bundesliga refused SC Untersiebenbrunn to participate in the following season and thus put the Lower Austrians in the third level, back in the Regionalliga Ost. The club officials then threatened to dissolve the club because they wanted to keep Untersiebenbrunn in the first division. When the Bundesliga confirmed its verdict, the club was dissolved and a successor club was founded with FC Untersiebenbrunn in 1932 , which, however, had to start in the lowest division in Lower Austria and was closed in March 2017 and left the championship. The championship operation was resumed in 2018.

After the club could only offer twelve players on September 20, 2019 and lost the away game at ATSV Auersthal with 0:25 goals, chairman Alexander Rakowitz announced on September 25, 2019 that he would withdraw the first team from the game with immediate effect 2nd class Marchfeld withdraws. The operation of a reserve team had to be discontinued beforehand.
