Jürgen Sarrazin
Jürgen Sarrazin (born March 21, 1936 in Freiberg , Saxony; † October 7, 2019 ) was a German bank manager.
Life
Jürgen Sarrazin studied law and history in Heidelberg and the USA, graduating in 1960 with the state examination in law. He joined Dresdner Bank in 1960 and became co-head of the international department in 1973, general representative in 1975 and a full member of the board in 1983 for the coordination of foreign business.
From 1993 to 1998 he was CEO of Dresdner Bank . Until 1998 he was a member of the supervisory boards of Hoechst AG and Daimler-Benz AG.
In 1998 he was sentenced to one year probation and a fine of millions for aiding and abetting tax evasion.
