Jürgen Steinacker

Jürgen M. Steinacker (born May 4, 1955 in Schorndorf ) is a German doctor and university professor . He is section head for sports medicine, rehabilitation at the Ulm University Hospital .

Career

After graduating from the Hohenstaufen High School in Bad Wimpfen in 1974, Jürgen Steinacker studied human medicine at the Universities of Tübingen and Ulm from 1976 to 1983 . In 1985 he received his doctorate with the title “ summa cum laude ” . Habilitated in 1993 , the University of Ulm appointed him an adjunct professor in 1995 . In 2007 he was appointed professor at Ulm University. In 2014 Steinacker received the health award of the Rufzeichen Gesundheit Foundation, endowed with 25,000 euros . Also in 2014 he was awarded the Hufeland Prize for Preventive Medicine.
