Jō Kanazawa ( Japanese 金 沢 浄 , Kanazawa Jō ; born July 9, 1976 in Saitama Prefecture ) is a former Japanese football player .

Career

Kanazawa learned to play soccer on the school team at Bunan High School and the college team at Kokushikan University . He signed his first contract with Júbilo Iwata in 1999 . The club played in the highest league in the country, the J1 League . With the club he became Japanese champions in 1999 and 2002 . For the club he completed 63 first division games. In 2003 he moved to league rivals FC Tokyo . In 2004 and 2009 he won the J.League Cup with the club . For the club, he completed 123 first division games. In August 2009 he returned to Júbilo Iwata. In 2010 he won the J.League Cup with the club. For the club he completed 36 first division games. In 2014 he moved to the second division Thespakusatsu Gunma . For the club he completed 10 games. At the end of 2014, he ended his career as a football player.
