JD Zeik

John David Zeik (born December 5, 1959 in New York City ) is an American screenwriter and lecturer at Purchase College, State University of New York.

Life

The first production based on a (though completely rewritten by David Mamet ) script by Zeik was Ronin from 1998. Two years later he developed the script for the fantasy film Witchblade - The Weapon of the Gods , based on it in the years 2001 to 2002 a television series of the same name was produced. Zeik was involved in this as a co-executive producer. In 2008 the direct-to-DVD production Deathly Weapon was made , an action film with Steven Seagal in the lead role.

Zeik graduated from Purchase College, State University of New York. He then worked as a playwright. Since 2000 he has been a lecturer in scriptwriting at Purchase College.
