The BDhe 2/4 are electric gear - motor coaches of the Jungfraubahn (JB). They were purchased in five series from 1955 to 1966 because the old Rowan cars could no longer cope with the increasing transport volume. They consist of a self-supporting car body with only one driver's cab on the valley side. On the mountain side, the driver's cab is followed by the luggage compartment, under which the motor bogie is located with an axle base of 3,150 mm. The uphill running bogie, on the other hand, only has an axle base of 1,500 mm. After the luggage compartment, there is the passenger compartment and the entry area with the transition door to the control car. The lack of mountain-side driver's cab is located in the passenger or cisterns - control cars , which must always be carried. On the roof there are a total of four pantographs , each of which stands in twos, and the braking resistors. With the delivery of the JB Bhe 4/8 , the BDhe 2/4 are increasingly being taken out of service and canceled. Currently only the numbers 202–204, 206 and 208 are available.
