JRP Ringier

JRP Ringier (formerly JRP Editions ) is a Swiss publisher for books about contemporary art in Zurich . The publisher is Lionel Bovier .

The publishing house was established in 2004 through a business partnership between Michael Ringier and the art publisher JRP Editions founded by Bovier and sells over 400 book titles, including art books, monographs and exhibition catalogs, in international trade. As a rule, the editor is also taken over or you work with publishers such as Christoph Keller .

JRP | Ringier has published books by the artists Fischli & Weiss , John Armleder , Isa Genzken , Richard Prince , John Baldessari , Mike Kelley , Wolfgang Tillmans , Elaine Sturtevant and Rodney Graham . In addition, young artists such as Urs Fischer , Valentin Carron, Sterling Ruby , Troy Brauntuch , Tony Oursler , Kelley Walker , Mai-Thu Perret and Cyprien Gaillard were supported. The publisher's books received honors from the Most Beautiful Swiss Books .

On October 26, 2018, it was announced that the JRP | Ringier Kunstverlag AG was transferred to the non-profit organization Fondation Suisse pour l'edition d'art (FSEA) after 15 years of commercial publishing activity. The foundation, under the direction of the Swiss artist John M Armleder, continues the distribution of the books that have been published over the years and supports the publication of new titles.
