Jacek Hyacinthus Różycki

Jacek Hyacinthus Różycki (also: Rositzky or Ruziski , * around 1630 or 1640 probably in Łęczyca ; † around 1704) was a Polish composer.

There is great confusion about Różycki's life data. He was probably a student of Bartłomiej Pękiel , whom he probably followed as head of the Royal Chapel in Warsaw . After August the Strong was elected King of Poland, he went to Dresden , where he led the Polish band alongside Johann Christoph Schmidt .

He composed numerous hymns , masses and concerts.
