Jacinto Viegas Vicente
Jacinto Viegas Vicente (born May 20, 1964 in Cailaco , Portuguese Timor ), fighting name Roque , is a politician from East Timor . He is a member of the Congresso Nacional da Reconstrução Timorense (CNRT) party.
Life
Vicente graduated from the 4th grade of elementary school. In the guerrilla war, Vicente fought as a teenager against the Indonesian occupiers and was a unit in command. Vicente received the Ordem de Guerilha , second class for this. In the civilian profession he later became a civil servant. In 2012, Vicente became a member of the East Timorese National Parliament and Secretary of the Commission for Foreign Affairs, Defense and National Security (Commission B).
In 2017 Vicente was elected one of the deputy general secretaries of the CNRT at the party congress. In the 2017 elections , Vicente narrowly missed re-entry into parliament in 23rd place on the list, but moved up to replace Francisco da Costa Guterres as MP on September 5 . Here he became secretary of the Commission on Foreign Affairs, Defense and National Security (Commission B). In the parliamentary elections in 2018 was a candidate Vicente anymore.
