Jack-Alain Léger (born June 5, 1947 in Paris as Daniel Théron ; † July 17, 2013 there ) was a French writer and musician .

Live and act

Daniel Théron was born in Paris in 1947. Jack-Alain Léger was his best known pseudonym. He also used the names Melmoth , Dashiell Hedayat , Eve Saint-Roch and Paul Smaïl . His greatest success was the 1976 work "Monsignore", which was sold over 350,000 times in France. The book was filmed in 1982 by Frank Perry as Monsignor with actors such as Christopher Reeve , Geneviève Bujold , Fernando Rey and others.

He translated the works of Bob Dylan (Tarantula) , JRR Tolkien (The Adventures of Tom Bombadil) and Leonard Cohen ( The Energy of Slaves , German: "The energy of slaves").
