The Jack Daniel's Cave is one of the longest known caves in Austria . It is located in the Tennengebirge north-east of the Bleikogel , near the Laufener Hütte , not far from the collapse of the long wall. The cave entrance is at an altitude of 2111 meters. The known length of the cave is currently 11,220 meters, the difference in altitude is 748 meters. The cave forks about 200 meters deep. The eastern part ends at a depth of 615 meters at an impassable crevice, the southern part branches off and breaks off into shafts.
Jack Daniel's cave was discovered in 2003 by the two Polish cave explorers Jacek "Jack" Wiśniowski and Daniel Oleksy and was named after their discoverers. The exploration of the cave is mainly carried out by members of the Polish "Speleoklub Bobry".
On August 14, 2014, a Polish cave explorer had an accident at a depth of around 250 meters. After two days, a team of more than a hundred successfully rescued him.
