Jack Orlando is the hero of the eponymous 2D - Point-and-click adventures of the Polish development company Toontraxx , produced by Zuxxez Entertainment , and distributed by TopWare Interactive or in the director's cut version of JoWood Productions .

The unsuccessful and alcohol-addicted private detective Jack Orlando wakes up next to a corpse after a night of sleep and is arrested shortly afterwards. However, he can persuade the responsible police inspector to allow him 48 hours to prove his innocence.
The ambience
Jack Orlando is set in a major American city in the 1930s. Shabby side streets as well as pulsating nightclubs of the noble society determine the picture. The game is accompanied by jazz music produced by Harold Faltermeyer . The main actor was set to music by Reent Reins , the German dubbing voice of Don Johnson .

Jack Orlando is a 2D comic-style adventure drawn using the airbrush method. The backgrounds and characters are detailed and the mood of the 30s has been captured well. However, many players criticized the relatively poor synchronization and especially the puzzle design, which is partly illogical and can produce so-called "dead ends" in the game. Furthermore, important items often only appear in the game after you have performed certain actions, which forces you to repeatedly search every place you have already visited. The sound quality of the synchronization is a major minus point:
- Language often disappears behind the music,
- Speech volume is not constant,
- Speech usually appears in exaggerated reverberations that do not fit the location at all,
- some parts of the speech are sometimes with and sometimes without echo, in the same scene.

The " Director's Cut " published in 2001 offers additional locations and puzzles. You can also choose between the levels of difficulty "normal" and "easy", which means that some puzzles are omitted and / or the plot is different in the easy level of difficulty.
This represents the most widespread version of the game, which is probably due to the better marketing by JoWood . Even so, the title itself is relatively unknown.
