Reality Pump is a Polish game developer founded in 1995 , based in Bielsko-Biała near Krakow . It belongs to the German game publisher Topware Interactive .
history
The company was founded in 1995 under the name TopWare Interactive Poland as an in-house developer of TopWare Interactive . The company developed games such as Earth 2140 . The breakthrough came in 1998 with the games Earth 2150: Escape From The Blue Planet and the expansions Earth 2150: The Moon Project and Earth 2150: Lost Souls . In the course of the bankruptcy of the parent company, TopWare Interactive Poland also filed for bankruptcy in 2001 and was bought by Topware's successor, Zuxxez Entertainment . The company then changed its name to Reality Pump - Game Development Studios .
Reality Pump achieved its greatest success to date in 2007 with the fantasy role-playing game Two Worlds . In 2010 the sequel Two Worlds 2 appeared . The actual sequel, Two Worlds: The Temptation , was discontinued in favor of Two Worlds 2 .
In 2013, the longtime creative director Miroslaw Dymek left the company with other developers and moved to the Krakow branch of CD Projekt RED . Tadeusz Zuber became the new managing director. In the same year, the development work of the action adventure Raven's Cry was transferred from the original developer Octane Games to Reality Pump and the program was technically revised. After several postponements, the game was released for Windows on January 26, 2015 ; the average rating on Metacritic was negative. At the beginning of May 2015 it was reported that the studio would be closed. The representation was partially contradicted by Topware. Accordingly, only one of several Reality Pump business units has filed for bankruptcy.
