Jack Parker (decathlete)
Jack Parker (actually Roger Parker ; born September 27, 1915 in Beaver , Oklahoma , † May 1964 ) was an American decathlete .
At the US championships, which served as an elimination match for the Olympic Games in Berlin , he was third behind Glenn Morris and Bob Clark with 7290 points .
This result was repeated in Berlin: Parker won bronze with 7275 points behind Morris, who set a world record with 7900 points, and Clark with 7601 points.
