Jack Winfield
Jack Winfield (actually John William Winfield; born October 27, 1907 in Stanley Common , Derbyshire , † January 1991 in West Hallam , Derbyshire) was a British long-distance runner .
At the British Empire Games in Hamilton in 1930 , he won bronze over three miles for England and was seventh over six miles.
In 1931 he won silver at the Cross of Nations . In the same year he set his personal best over 5000 m on August 30th in Cologne with 14: 55.0 min .
