Jackie Pallo

Jackie Pallo (born June 12, 1925 in Islington , London , † February 11, 2006 in Ramsgate , Kent , England ) was one of the well-known British wrestlers.

Career

Jackie Pallo, born under the real name Jack Ernest Gutteridge , grew up at a young age with boxing lessons from his father, grandfather and uncle in Islington ( London ). He worked as a butcher and mechanic. In the 1960s, he was a star as "Mr. TV" before the Giant Haystacks Era. He later made several TV appearances. In the 1980s he wrote what was probably the most controversial book on wrestling up until then, "You grunt, I'll groan".

Pallo leaves behind his wife Trixie and son Jackie Pallo Jr., with whom he tagged a team during his lifetime. He died from cancer in his home in Ramsgate ( England ).
