The Jackson Lake Lodge is a hotel complex in the Jackson Hole Valley of Grand Teton National Park in the US state of Wyoming . The owner is the National Park. The annual Jackson Hole Economic Symposium has been held there since 1982, a meeting of the heads of the central banks of the most important industrialized and emerging countries. The host is traditionally the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City - one of twelve regional banks that together make up the US Federal Reserve System .
The lodge opened in 1955. It has 385 rooms, restaurants, conference rooms etc., and there are also numerous opportunities for leisure activities. From the lodge you have a very nice view of the Teton Range and Jackson Lake .
The Amoretti Hotel and Camp Company's Jackson Lake Lodge have been on the property since 1922. This facility was demolished during the construction of the Jackson Lake Lodge. The lodge's builder, John D. Rockefeller, Jr. , hired architect Gilbert Stanley Underwood to design the Jackson Lake Lodge. The building is characterized by the transition from a rustic to a modern appearance, which was previously common in the National Parks. The design was initially controversial, today the successful adaptation to the natural environment is praised. The lodge has shaped the architecture of subsequent buildings in the North American national parks. In July 2003, the lodge was listed as a Historic District on the National Register of Historic Places and was granted National Historic Landmark status.
