Jacob Erdman

Jacob Erdman (born February 22, 1801 in Coopersburg , Pennsylvania , † July 20, 1867 there ) was an American politician.

Erdman first worked in agriculture before he became a member of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives from 1834 to 1836. In 1844 he was elected a Democrat to Congress and represented the state of Pennsylvania from March 4, 1845 to March 3, 1847 in the US House of Representatives . On November 9, 1866, Erdman was elected Judge of Lehigh County Court and remained in office until his death. He was buried in the Blue Church Cemetery near Coopersburg.

Jacob Erdman was the grandfather of Constantine Jacob Erdman .
