Jacob Patrick (born November 21,  2003 ) is a German basketball player .

career

Patrick, son of the American basketball coach John Patrick , played in the youth of the ASC 1864 Göttingen , the BG 74 Göttingen and then with the BSG Ludwigsburg.

In June 2020 he made his debut in the basketball Bundesliga as a coach under his father John Patrick as part of the season final tournament against SC Rasta Vechta . At the time of his Bundesliga debut, Patrick was the fourth youngest player to ever play in a top German division. His brother Johannes played his second Bundesliga appearance in this game. Jacob Patrick scored his first Bundesliga points in the following game against Frankfurt and at the age of 16 years, six months and 19 days became the youngest player to score a basket in a Bundesliga game (since the beginning of digital data collection). He moved into the final of the German championship with Ludwigsburg shortly afterwards, but lost both legs to Berlin.

National team

In the summer of 2019, Patrick took part in the European Championship for this age group with the German U16 national team and scored 9.9 points per match over the course of the tournament.
