Jacqueline Thome-Patenôtre

Jacqueline Thome-Patenôtre (born February 3, 1906 in Paris , † June 2, 1995 in Rambouillet ) was a French politician .

Life

From 1947 to 1983 she was mayor of the city of Rambouillet. Gérard Larcher followed her as mayor . Thome-Patenôtre became a member of the liberal Parti radical de gauche . From December 8, 1946 to January 15, 1959, she was a senator in the Senate of France . From 1958 to 1978 Thome-Patenôtre was a member of the National Assembly . From 1984 to 1989 she was a member of the European Parliament. Thome-Patenôtre was the age president of the European Parliament . She was married.

Kirchheim unter Teck , the German twin town of Rambouillet, decided in 1979 to give Jacqueline Thome-Patenôtre honorary citizenship for her tireless efforts.
