Jacques Charby
Jacques Charby (born June 13, 1929 in Paris , † January 1, 2006 ibid) was a French actor , anti-colonialist and director .
Life
Jacques Charby was a militant member of the Reseau Jeanson network and against the Algerian war. He wrote some books in the 1960s that were banned in France. He was arrested in 1960 but escaped and was sentenced to ten years in absentia. One of his most important films was La guerre d'Algerie by Yves Courriere where Charby together with Bruno Crémer played.
