Bruno Cremer

Bruno Cremer (born October 6, 1929 in Saint-Mandé , † August 7, 2010 in Paris ) was a French actor .

Cremer's mother was Belgian and his father was French, who later took on Belgian citizenship . He began his acting career on the theater stage in Robinson by Jules Supervielle . After ten years on stage in plays by William Shakespeare , Oscar Wilde , Jean Anouilh a . a. he began to act in films. Here he made his debut together with Alain Delon in The Killer Let Ask (1957). Well over 80 films followed.

From 1991 Cremer was very successful in front of the television camera and played Commissioner Maigret well over 50 times , based on the novel by Georges Simenon . In Germany he was also known for the portrayal of the seedy Antonio Espinosa in Alone Against the Mafia , which he played for three seasons (1989-1992).

He was married for a second time on December 22, 1984 and had two daughters with his wife Chantal and a son from his first marriage, the writer Stéphane. Bruno Cremer's autobiographical book Un certain jeune homme (dt. A certain young man ) was published in 2000. On August 7, 2010 succumbed to the actor in a Paris hospital a cancer . Bruno Cremer is buried on the Cimetière du Montparnasse in Paris .
