Saint-Mandé is a French commune with 22,619 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017), which is east of the capital Paris . It belongs to the Île de France agglomeration and is located, resembling a corner, in the north-west of the Val-de-Marne department .
history
When the city of Paris annexed large districts that are now part of the 12th arrondissement and the Bois de Vincennes in 1860 and 1929 , Saint-Mandé lost a large part of its urban area.
