The White Secret is a 1985 French television film based on the novel La partie de Bambu by Roger Gouze .
action
The five old friends Henri, Appoline, Paul, Maxence and Jean meet each year in winter in a hotel in which they are now the only guests at the end of the season. When Henri announces that he knows about his wife Apolline's affair with Jean, he doesn't seem unduly upset about it. He just demands that both end their relationship and forget about moving on. Shortly afterwards, Jean, who was about to leave with Apolline, dies in an avalanche. The apparent accident is increasingly being called into question. Paul and Maxence become more and more suspicious of Henri and find more and more clues that speak against him. Apolline is also certain that Henri overheard their conversation, in which Jean had said he would go away with her. Paul and Maxence are sure that Henri deliberately triggered the deadly avalanche. When Henri notices that his friends are investigating him and that Apolline is also turning against him, he kills himself without further ado.
