Jacques Le Gall is a Franco-Belgian comic series published between 1959 and 1967 .

action

Jacques Le Gall, a young red-haired boy scout , is drawn into mysterious machinations.

background

Jean-Michel Charlier originally wrote the six stories for the French comic magazine Pilote . The drawings were from MiTacq . Both were working at the same time on another scout series called La Patrouille des castors ("The Beaver Patrouille"; in German also The Blue Panthers ). Three of the stories were only executed with black ink using the wash technique. MiTacq received temporary support from René Follet . For the re-publication from 1976 in Spirou magazine, most of the stories were rearranged and shortened. Charlier wanted to restart the series with Jean-Charles Kraehn, but that did not happen because of his death.

Publications

The series was first reprinted in Pilote in 1959 and 1967 and republished in Spirou between 1976 and 1981 . Dupuis reprinted the three color stories in individual albums as part of the Péchés de Jeunesse series and combined the three black and white episodes into one volume. As a complete edition, the series appeared in the last two albums in the Tout MiTacq series .
