successes
Jacques Le Lavasseur, who sailed for the Société Nautique de Marseille , took part in the 1900 Olympic Games in Paris , where he competed in three competitions. In the open class he missed a front placement, while he was two - time Olympic champion in the boat class 2 to 3 tons in two races in Meulan-en-Yvelines . Both times he was a crew member of the yacht Ollé , skippered by the Briton William Exshaw and relegated the boat Favorite, led by Léon Susse , to second place. Since Le Lavasseur, like the second crew member, Frédéric Blanchy, was French, the IOC managed the boat crew as a mixed crew .
