Jacques Soguel (born March 17, 1956 in Davos ) is a former Swiss ice hockey player who spent his entire career at HC Davos . His brothers Claude Soguel and Sergio Soguel also played for HC Davos in the Swiss National League A .

Career

Jacques Soguel played for HC Davos from 1974 to 1991 , where he was used as a center or left wing. Soguel experienced a personal highlight as early as 1976 when he was the first Swiss ice hockey player to be drafted by a team from the National Hockey League , the St. Louis Blues . In 1979 he was promoted to the National League A with HC Davos . However, he experienced the high point of his career in 1984 and 1985, when he received the Swiss championship trophy as captain . However, he was also there when HC Davos was relegated to the National League B in 1989 and the first division in 1990. In 1991 he finally made his contribution to the resurgence of HC Davos in the National League B. After that he retired from competitive sports. Since then, Soguel, who already worked during his sports career, has been an independent real estate trustee.

In his career, Soguel made 81 international appearances, scoring 21 goals. In 1986 he was able to celebrate Switzerland's promotion to the World Cup A group.
