1976 NHL Amateur Draft

The NHL Amateur Draft in 1976 , the annual talent contraction of the National Hockey League , the NHL was June 15, 1976 in the office in the Canadian Montreal in the Province of Quebec instead.

A total of 135 players were drawn in 15 rounds, with only a few teams selecting players in the last rounds and from the ninth round only the Montréal Canadiens and St. Louis Blues drawn more players. The top draft pick Rick Green is not not, resulted in great fame, but he played a long career with more than 800 games in the NHL. Only three players made it to more stakes. Bernie Federko , who scored more than 1000 points scorer in the service of the team, became the star of the St. Louis Blues . With Björn Johansson , the California Golden Seals became the first team in draft history to win a European in the first round. With Jacques Soguel in the eighth round, a Swiss was drawn in the draft for the first time.
