Jadvyga Zinkevičiūtė

Jadvyga Zinkevičiūtė (born November 7, 1949 in Trakai ) is a Lithuanian politician and currently Deputy Minister of Health.

Life

After graduating from secondary school, Zinkevičiūtė graduated from 1968 to 1973 with a diploma in microbiology at the Faculty of Natural Sciences and in 1986 received his doctorate from Vilniaus universitetas . From 1973 to 1986 she worked at the Research Institute for Enzymology . From 1993 to 1998 she was senior research assistant, year curator, head of the Bachelor and Master theses, oponent of the dissertations at the Vilniaus universitetas. From 1993 to 2003 she taught at the Vilnius Medical High School . From 1999 to 2000 she was the director of doctoral studies at Lietuvos teisės universitetas . From 2004 to 2008 she was a member of the Seimas (she was selected in the constituency of Naujoji Vilnia ). From 2009 to 2013 she worked as the deputy branch director at Kliniken Santariškės . Since March 2013 she has been Lithuania's Deputy Minister of Health in the Butkevičius cabinet (16th government).

Zinkevičiūtė has been a member of the Darbo partija since 2004 .

Zinkevičiūtė has the daughter Rasa.

She speaks Polish, Russian, French and English.
