Jaffa interest
Jaffa Zins (born Scheindele Schechter in 1928 in Kuty , Poland) is an Israeli writer .
Life
Jaffa Zins grew up in Kitov. In 1941 she fled the Wehrmacht with her father and sister into the interior of the Soviet Union. Her mother and her two little brothers were murdered in a massacre by German troops in Kitov in April 1942. An older brother survived in Siberia and emigrated to Israel in 1960.
After the end of the war, Jaffa Zins initially returned to Poland and from there came to Israel via Czechoslovakia, Austria and Italy in 1948. She lives in Bat Jam today .
Jaffa Zins published twelve volumes of poetry in the Hebrew language. She regularly gives lectures on the Shoah and poetics lectures at schools and colleges.
