Jagsttal Bridge (A 81)

The Jagsttalbrücke is a bridge on the federal highway 81 over the Jagsttal near Widdern . It is the highest bridge in the Würzburg – Weinsberg section and lies between the Osterburken and Möckmühl junctions . The girder bridge was built from 1971 to 1974.

The bridge has a total length of 880 m with eight spans with spans of 70 m - 100 m - 115 m - 130 m - 150 m - 120 m - 110 m - 93 m. The height of the pillars is a maximum of 75 m, the height above the valley floor or water 80 meters. The superstructure consists of a steel box girder with strut projections, 30.0 m wide at the top and 10.7 m at the bottom, with a total height of 5.25 m.
