The Jahan Pahlavan Ghar ( Persian جهان پهلوان غر; Pashto De Jahan Pahlavan Ghar ; "Mountain of the World Wrestler", "Mountain of the World Striker") is a mountain in Sayid Karam in the Afghan province of Paktia .

The name of this mountain goes back to Rostam , the mythical hero of the Iranian highlands. Because it is called in Afghanistan , Iran , Tajikistan , North India , since 1947 Pakistan as Jahan Pahlavan or Pahlavan e Jahan .

In the translations of the Shāhnāme made by Friedrich Rückert , the word Pehlewan (meaning Pahlavan) occurs at least 50 times and several times as Weltpehlewan , Pehlewan der Welt and Hohen Pehlewan in Sage XV - XIX alone :
