Jahangirabad is a city in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh . The city is named after the former Mughal emperor Jahangir .

The city is part of the Bulandshahr district . Jahangirabad has the status of a Nagar Palika Parishad . The city is divided into 25 wards . On the cut-off date of the 2011 census it had 59,858 inhabitants, of which 31,234 were men and 28,624 women. Hindus make up the majority of the city's population with a share of over 73%. The literacy rate in 2011 was 68.43%.
