Bulandshahr is a district in the northern Indian state of Uttar Pradesh .
The area is 4,512 km². The administrative seat is the city of Bulandshahr . The district belongs to the wider metropolitan area of Delhi .

The population is 3,499,171 (2011). The population growth rate in the period from 2001 to 2011 was 20.12%. Bulandshahr has a gender ratio of 889 women per 1000 men. It had a literacy rate of 68.88% in 2011, an increase of almost nine percentage points compared to 2001. Just under 77% of the population are Hindus and around 22% are Muslims .
The urbanization rate of the district is approximately 24.8%. The largest cities were Bulandshahr with 222,519 inhabitants and Khurja with 111,062 inhabitants.

Bulandshahar District is an important agricultural district for growing grain . Here u. a. Wheat , potatoes , corn , sugar are grown in large quantities.
