Bulandshahr is a city in the northern Indian state of Uttar Pradesh .

Bulandshahr is located in the North Indian Plain, 65 km southeast of New Delhi . The Upper Ganges Canal runs along the western edge of the city. The city is the administrative seat of the district of the same name .

The national highway NH 91 ( Ghaziabad - Aligarh ) passes Bulandshahr. The NH 235 leads to Hapur, 35 km to the north .

As a city, Bulandshahr has the status of Nagar Palika Parishad . It is divided into 32 wards . At the 2011 census, Bulandshahr had 222,519 inhabitants.
