Jahméne Douglas (born February 26, 1991 in Birmingham ) is an English pop singer. He became known for his participation in the ninth season of the talent show The X Factor .

biography

Jahméne Douglas had a difficult youth with an abusive father who was jailed for mistreating his mother. His older brother died by suicide. Jahméne therefore sought refuge in music. He appeared twice at Open Mic UK , but dropped out early each time. At the age of 21, he applied to the talent show The X Factor in 2012 . He was a favorite from the start and finished the final second behind James Arthur .

Jahméne Douglas was signed by RCA after the show and released six months later his debut album entitled Love Never Fails , which consists of cover songs, but does not contain any songs from his show appearances. The album debuted at number one on the UK charts.
