Jail Break is an arcade game of the genre shoot 'em up , which in 1986 by Konami was developed.
Game description
A revolt takes place in a prison. The prison guard was kidnapped by the inmates and must be released. The player controls a cop who has to fight his way to the right in this horizontally scrolling shoot 'em up. The prisoners (in striped prison clothing and ball chains on their feet) must be shot; the male and female hostages must not be hit, otherwise the additional weapons will be lost.
weapons
At first there is only a pistol as a weapon, later a bazooka and a tear gas weapon are added when hostages are freed.
Level
At first the fighting takes place on a street with rows of houses in the north, later the background changes to a park, a bridge and finally the prison again.
success
The game has a relatively high level of AI ( Artificial Intelligence ), as well as voice output and Easter Eggs . In the Killer List of Videogames, the machine takes 22nd place in the rarity rating (out of more than 21,000 games), which does not say anything about the popularity of the game and the ports.
Ports
- Commodore 64 (1986) voice output only in loading graphics
- ZX Spectrum (1987)
