Jaime León (born December 22, 1961 in Guadalajara , Jalisco ) is a retired Mexican soccer player who played in midfield . After his active career, León worked as a trainer and currently as a sports director.

Life

His first game in the Mexican Primera División played León on September 20, 1981 at the away game of his home club Chivas Guadalajara against local rivals Tecos de la UAG , which was lost 2-0. He scored his first and only first division goal in the Chivas jersey on December 18, 1983, when he scored the decisive goal against Toros Neza for his team's 1-0 victory.

He then played for Atlético Potosino , for which he completed his last first division game in the 4-0 defeat on June 18, 1989 at Tampico-Madero FC . His club was relegated to the Segunda División , which at the time was still second-rate , in which León played for several years, according to the article dedicated to him in the Spanish-language Wikipedia. The probability of his stations (indicated there) can be reconstructed in connection with the list of Mexican second division football clubs as follows: probably in the seasons 1989/90 and 1990/91 for Potosino, then for Tampico-Madero (they played between 1991 and 1994 in the second division) and most recently for Deportivo Tepic , who played in the second division until the 1995/96 season.

After his active career, León worked, among other things, as the head coach of the Santos Laguna branch team playing in the Primera División 'A' and is currently the sports director of the first division club Deportivo Toluca .
