Jaime Teixidor
Jaime Teixidor , also Jaume , (born April 16, 1884 in Barcelona , † February 23, 1957 in Baracaldo ) was a Catalan- Spanish musician , conductor , publisher and composer .
Life
He created around 500 musical works. His most famous composition is Amparito Roca , written in 1925 and performed for the first time in September 1925 at the Teatro del Siglo in Carlet. The score was published in Madrid in 1925 by Música Moderna and in Barcelona by Joaquín Mora in 1928. Boosey & Hawkes published these in 1935 in an arrangement by Aubrey Winter (1870–1955). His daughter María Teresa Texidor Tico was also a composer.
