Jainaba Bah Sambou

Jainaba Bah Sambou , also Jainaba Bah-Sambou (born July 15, 1970 in Kanifing Municipal - Old Jeshwang ) is a Gambian lawyer.

She studied at Obafemi Awolowo University in Nigeria and graduated with a Bachelor of Laws .

Bah Sambou was admitted to the Gambia in July 2002 and worked as a public prosecutor for the Gambian Ministry of Justice. To 2009 she was director of the Gambian competition authority Gambia Competition Commission (GCC). From March 2010 she was Solicitor General , but was replaced again at the end of June 2010. Her successor was Pa Harry Jammeh .

Bah Sambou worked as a consultant for the International Institute for Democracy and Electoral Assistance (IDEA) and supports the ACE Electoral Knowledge Network , which provides information and advice on political elections. She was also a legal advisor to the National Women's Council .

She has been working as a lawyer since 2010. She is married to Harry Sambou , former head of the National Intelligence Agency (NIA), and has a son and a daughter.
